Objectives :

 

 

(A)

to make payments to charitable, cultural, scientific, educational, environmental or other institutions focussed on the public interest or nature, together with institutions that aim for (other) social purposes and

(B)

to excercise operations and/or activities, amongst which the receiving, (re)investing, granting options on or disposal of asset values, all in the broadest sense, for the purpose of (making payments to) one or more institutions as mentioned under sub a, and all activities that are connected with or that may be conducive to the above,all this in the broadest sense

 

The Foundation endeavours to achieve its objectives by, among others:

a.

to organize, finance and otherwise support global operations and projects in the field of the objectives of the Foundation;

b.

to give financial contributions to other charities with similar objects as the Foundation’s objects; and

c.

by carefully managing its capital, in such way to sustain and guarantee the earnings and investments of the Foundation in order to be able to realise its objectives.

 

Currently considerable attention is paid to financially supporting activities of conservation. Institutions and projects which promote sustaining and documenting creatures on the endangered list globally.

 

Funding will be provided by the founder of Stichting Maa through annual donations, in order for the Foundation to be able to achieve its objectives.

Activities :

 

 

Stichting Maa annually supports The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, an organisation dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of orphaned elephants, and protection of other threatened species in Africa.

 

Remuneration :

Board members shall not receive any remuneration. They may be entitled to reimbursement of costs incurred in the performance of their duties, if not excessive.
